Happy Easter! Sorry that I’ve been a little MIA this week. (Not that any of you have noticed it since no one reads this blog, I’ve seen the statistics.) School has been a little hectic this week. This post is a little late, but I hope you enjoy this. Here are my favorites of the past month.
TV & Film
Last month, Disney+ added a new content hub with lots of mature/adult rated shows and movies, and I’m obsessed with it. One of the shows that I started watching in March is Modern Family. The show is about three unusual families going through their lives. It’s a very funny show, and I’ve been binging it ever since it got added to Disney+.
This show means a lot to me, even though this show has a lot of off-screen drama. I’ve been a huge Gleek ever since I was a young girl. You can imagine the excitement when I heard that this show was going to be added to Disney+. This show is ridiculous and campy, but that’s what makes it good. The show is about a group of losers and misfits joining their high school glee club.
Say what you want about reboots, but this show is so good! Also, cartoons aren’t just for kids! I like that the characters in this version have more character development and I love the Dutch translation/dubbing of this show. This is one of the few shows where I prefer the Dutch dub over the original. The show is about the many adventures of Scrooge Mcduck and his family.
If you haven’t met me yet, Hi, I’m Anxious Diamond and I really like musicals. Lately, I’ve been listening to this show a lot. This show is a modern retelling of Romeo & Juliet. It’s about what would happen if Juliet didn’t killed herself in the end of the play. This is a jukebox musical featuring music from Max Martin (AKA every pop song from the last 20-25 years). This may sound crazy, but it works for the show. It’s campy and the music is pretty nostalgic for me (yes I’m that young). Ah, I miss the theater.
Honestly, I don’t know why I started listening to Billy Joel last month, but I did that anyway. I knew a few of his most famous songs, like Uptown girl or Piano man. I love how each of his songs have a story behind them.
That was it. Not much has happened last month, so this is a pretty short list. What are your March favorites?
