Times can be stressful. Especially now in these confusing times. Why not take some time off and have some time for yourself? Being alone isn’t as bad as it seems. Here are a few tips on how to have a perfect me-time.

1. Take some time off

To truly enjoy me-time, you need to take some time off for yourself. You can’t enjoy something if you keep stressing about everything in the world. If for some reason you have to use your phone during your me-time, then make sure to turn off your notifications. Relax and take it easy!

2. Turn off your phone and/or notifications

It’s easy to get distracted by your phone and through social media, and it’s easy to get FOMO. It’s better to turn off your phone completely and do something else like reading or reflecting.

3. Journaling

Being alone is the perfect opportunity to reflect. Think of everything that you’ve done, every accomplishment, every gratitude that you have whether it’s big or small. The best way to reflect, is by journaling. Putting your thoughts onto paper is a great way to sort out all of your thoughts and emotions.

4. Do something creative

Draw, paint, write etc. Creativity is a fun way to spend time with yourself. It’s the perfect way to express yourself, and it reduces stress and anxiety. You can use creativity to reflect on whatever has happened in your life, and sometimes it’s good to let go of something that has been bothering you.

5. Do whatever makes you happy

During me-time, you are the boss. You can do whatever you want, as long as it makes you happy. If that means sitting in bed all day while watching Netflix, then go for it! If that means going outside, do it! The world is your oyster.

I hope I inspired you to get some me-time. How do you like to spend your me-time?
