My Favorite Things: February 2021

It’s the end of the month. My blog is now 1 month old! Can you believe how fast the time goes? Thank you so much for visiting and reading my blog! I thought it will be fun to show you a few of my favorites from the past month.

TV & Film

WandaVision

WandaVision is a Disney+ original series based on the Scarlet Witch and the Vision from the MCU. They live in a real-life sitcom (every episode is based off of a real life sitcom) where nothing is what it seems. I have to admit that I’m not the biggest Marvel fan. However, I’ve found this show surprisingly entertaining. It’s an original concept with just enough twists and turns to make it interesting.

Bridgerton

Okay, I feel that everybody and their mother has seen Bridgerton and I totally get it. It is so addictive! I binged the first season in three days and I already can’t wait for the second season. It’s basically Gossip girl, but as a period drama. One thing that I love about the show is its diversity. It is pretty rare to see POC as the romantic leads, especially in period drama’s.

All That Jazz

All That Jazz is a semi-autobiographical film made by Broadway legend Bob Fosse. For those who don’t know, I’m a huge theater nerd, and I’ve been meaning to watch this movie ever since I saw the miniseries Fosse/Verdon a few years ago, but I’ve never had the time for it. I’ve finally got to see it this month, and it is definitely worth the hype. Fosse’s direction is wonderful and the story is brilliant.

Music

Taylor Swift

So I finally hopped onto the Swiftie bandwagon. Call me basic, I don’t care. Normally I don’t really listen to modern pop songs, but everyone on social media was talking about her new album and I wanted to know what all the fuss is about. I started listening to her two latest albums (Folklore & Evermore) and I really love her new sound. It’s really calming and beautiful. I also started listening to her older songs, and they are also fantastic.

Harry Styles

Same thing with Harry Styles. Everyone is talking about him and I wanted to know if it was worth the hype. It totally is. His songs are fantastic, and it’s totally up my ally.

Lifestyle

Pilates

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to be more active. I’ve already made a blogpost about my favorite exercises. This month I started Pilates and I love it. It may be difficult, but it works. It is great for your core and for your posture, and it tones up your body!

Menstrual Cup

I’m planning on making a whole post about this, so I’m going to be very brief about this. I heard many great things about this little cup and I wanted to try it out. So far, I really like it, however I wanted to try it out for a few months before I make a post about it. Stay tuned!

Learning Sign Language (NGT)

Earlier this month I started an online Dutch sign language course. I’ve always wanted to learn more languages and I thought that sign language will be a nice skill to know. So far, I know how to greet people and I know a few basic words about the seasons and about love. I really liked it, and I’m eager to learn more signs.

I hope you liked this post. I want to make this into a monthly thing, if you want to of course. What are your favorites this month?

Yours truly,

💎
